Logan Sargeant will race for Williams again during the 2024 F1 season as he looks to build on a difficult rookie campaign.
There was plenty of excitement and anticipation surrounding Sargeant's F1 debut, given he was the first full-time American grand prix driver since Scott Speed in 2006.
But Sargeant's introduction to F1 proved to be something of a baptism of fire. The American rookie endured a tough first season alongside Alex Albon.
Sargeant's future was subject to speculation amid a spell of costly crashes and mistakes, but he pulled through to retain his seat for a sophomore season.
His best drive came at the United States Grand Prix where he finished 12th on the road, but was bumped into the points following disqualifications for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
The post-race drama saw Sargeant end a three decade-long wait for an American driver to score points in an F1 race. Further solid progress in the remaining races of the year helped Sargeant keep his drive for at least another year.
But after being eclipsed by Albon in 2023, there will be no hiding place for Sargeant in 2024.
