LADA reveals Vesta WTCC model
LADA has released the first official image of its new World Touring Car Championship entry, the Vesta WTCC, as it looks to build on its recent successes this season.
The Russian manufacturer announced plans to replace the existing Granta model last year with an all-new saloon, the Vesta, which had partly been developed with the onus of racing in WTCC.
Having already revealed a 'concept' version of the car in September, LADA has now shown the final version of its model, which will be driven by an unchanged driver line-up of Rob Huff, James Thompson and Mikhail Kozlovskiy.
Baring new prominent backing from Russian petroleum firm Rosneft, which replaces Lukoil, the Vesta is charged with building on LADA's impressive end to the 2014 season, which saw Huff take two unexpected wins in the Granta at Goldenport Park and in Macau.
