Chequered flag in FP2

Alex Lowes ends FP2 fastest ahead of Danilo Petrucci and Nicolo Bulega. A late lap from Alvaro Bautista saw him move up to sixth.

14:44

Lowes back to the top now from Petrucci and Bulega, 0.151s covering the top three with one minute to go.

14:42

Lowes stayed third with his lap, but he's staying consistent in the high-1:29s.

14:42

Scott Redding moves up from 16th to sixth, as Vierge gets into the top 10. Alex Lowes is on a good lap, too.

14:39

Rabat has gone to the top now, as Danilo Petrucci has blocked Remy Gardner while making a particular one-fingered gesture towards the Australian. Petrucci continued without issue but Gardner had to take to the gravel at turn two.

14:37

We're into the final 10 minutes of FP2 now in Cremona, as Nicolo Bulega takes over at the top of the times, and Tito Rabat moves up to fourth.

14:34

Ivo Lopes' Honda has encountered technical troubles on the back striaght. Unclear exactly what the problem is.

14:32

Sam Lowes, currently ninth, was on a PB lap but has crashed. He's up and okay, but annoyed with himself.

14:30

A replay of the van der Mark crash shows contact with Delbianco. The Italian was trying to make a pass, but completely misjudged it.

14:29

Michael van der Mark has crashed. He's up and going back to his bike. He seems to have done down with Alessandro Delbianco, who's wildcarding for Motoxracing this weekend.

Van der Mark is back to the pits now.

14:27

Not much change going on on the timesheets as most are now focusing on used tyres and race runs.

14:24

Alex Lowes is still fastest, but Danilo Petrucci has cut his advantage to 0.066s as he moves into second place.

14:22

Van der Mark improves up to sixth. He was looking unhappy on his first run, but that's a significant improvement, up from 18th.

14:18

Most riders back in the pits now, but Michael Ruben Rinaldi moves up to eighth.

14:14

Reiterberger's out on track now and 18th with his first lap.

14:13

Gerloff has crashed and taken a wing off his BMW. He's still second for now, but he's going to lose soem valuable track time with that.

14:12

Gerloff now up to second place. He's the standout BMW at the moment, Redding in 14th, van der Mark 16th, and Reiterberger is yet to set a time in 25th.

14:10

Alex Lowes still fastest 10 minutes into FP2 here, as Andrea Iannone moves up to second place, just under 0.3s behind Lowes.

14:04

First lap times are coming in now. The early pace is set by Alex Lowes, just 0.080s ahead of Danilo Petrucci, who is over a second ahead of Michael Ruben Rinaldi.

Green flag for FP2

Everyone rushes out on track for WorldSBK FP2 as soon as the light at the end of pit lane goes green.

13:52

Just under 10 minutes to go now until WorldSBK FP2 at Cremona. It's going to be an important session for Nicolo Bulega, who is eyeing a treble victory and the championship lead this weekend with Toprak Razgatlioglu out of action.

13:43

Only 11 riders set times in FP1 this morning, almost entirely thanks to the damp conditions. It means the upcoming FP2 should be even more hectic than usual, as riders try to reacquaint themselves with the Cremona layout, as well as work on their race pace and setup.

13:30
FP2

We're around half-an-hour away from WorldSBK FP2 at Cremona. Sam Lowes was fastest this morning, but with conditions having dried up since the end of FP1, this afternoon session looks set to be much more representative.
